  • 3.1  We take all reasonable steps to ensure that this Website is available 24 hours every day, 365 days per year. However, websites do sometimes encounter downtime due to server and, other technical issues. Therefore we will not be liable if this website is unavailable at any time.
  • 3.2  This Website may be temporarily unavailable due to issues such as system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond our control. Where possible we will try to give our visitors advance warning of maintenance issues but shall not be obliged to do so.

9.  DELIVERIES.

  • 9.1 Delivery times are approximate and we will at all times use our best endeavours to comply with the specified delivery times. We however shall not be liable for any loss, penalties or damage, direct or indirect incurred by delayed delivery and in no case shall delay be a ground for rejecting goods nor shall the Company be responsible for any consequence or loss however incurred.
  • 9.2  Any shortage or damage must be clearly identified and a written statement of the facts received by ourselves within 3 days after the date of delivery, otherwise no claim will be entertained. The package and contents should be retained for examination.
  • 9.3  Written notice of any non- delivery must be received by our online support team within 7 days of the date of invoice. Time is of the essence of this clause. Our liability in respect of any claim accepted under this clause is limited to making up the shortage or replacing of any goods proved to have been damaged or lost in transit to the point of delivery, and we accept no liability for any loss or damage suffered by you, whether direct or consequential and howsoever arising.

 

10.  CANCELLATIONS.

  • 10.1 Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel an order (or any part of it) for any reason before delivery (Subject to exclusions referenced in paragraph 9.3) 
  • 10.2 To cancel an order, you must contact us within seven working days of receipt of delivery of your item(s), either by email quoting your order number or via our automated returns authorisation system accessible through the account dropdown menu or directly from your customer account area.

 

11.  RETURNS.

  • 11.1 If you wish to return an item after the statutory seven working days but within 30 days of purchase you must contact us in writing by email or fax to request a returns authorisation.
  • 11.2 Return requested made outside the 30 day period are at the sole discretion of R&B Star Electrical Wholesalers Ltd and will be considered on a case by case basis. (Please note:a minimum stocking charge of 25% will be applied in most cases)All returns are subject to the special order items exclusion (referenced in paragraph 13)
  • 11.3 You must take reasonable care of the item(s) whilst they are in your possession and they must be returned unused and in the condition in which they were received.
  • Items should be packed in such a way as to protect them in transit (eg: using the original box and packaging materials). Please note: customers are required to meet the postal/carriage costs incurred in returning unwanted items, but will be fully refunded for the price of the goods themselves.

12.  PAYMENTS & REFUNDS.

  • 12.1 We offer a range of payment options including Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa electron, American Express,PayPal and Proforma (Please note:the Proforma payment option is only available to pre-registered customers and all orders must have cleared funds before the order is processed)
  • 12.2 All our credit card transactions are handled by Paypal, one of the market leaders in secure online transactions. The transfer of order and payment details from our website to Paypal are encapsulated using Paypal's own encrypted and digitally-signed protocol. Any communication between the shopper and Paypal is encrypted to the maximum strength supported by the shopper's browser using 128 Bit encrypted sessions. Shoppers are also protected from fraudulent use of their card by the 3D-secure (Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode) schemes. The card issuer provides the right for a shopper to dispute a transaction if the goods/services did not arrive or if the card was used fraudulently.
